Events

The Michigan Competing Bands Association organizes and oversees numerous marching band competitions throughout the state of Michigan each fall.  On the first weekend in November, MCBA holds it’s annual Michigan Marching Band State Championships at Ford Field in Detroit. MI.  MCBA also provides other educational opportunities for director’s and students.  Each fall MCBA presents Field Day clinics where bands will perform and directors and students alike will receive feedback on performance and design.  MCBA provides professional development opportunities for both directors and judges at its annual Spring Clinic.

MCBA . . . the pursuit of excellence in the marching arts!

At its core, MCBA exists to provide the very best experiences in the marching arts.  We believe that music and arts education are fundamental for all students and we are dedicated to supporting and promoting instrumental music programs in the state of Michigan.  MCBA sanctions competitions, hosts the State Championships and conducts clinics, all with the same goal . . . to support the achievement of excellence in the marching arts!
